UL Certification
UL is the abbreviation for Underwriter Laboratories Inc. C-UL column name tag
This mark applies to products marketed in Canada. Evaluate products labeled with this mark according to Canadian safety requirements. Canadian safety requirements may differ from those of the United States. Such marks can be seen on the following types of devices: appliances and calculator devices, vending machines, home burglar alarm systems, lighting fixtures, and many other kinds of products.
C-UL US column name tag
UL introduced this new listing tag in early 1998. It said it meets both the U.S. requirements and Canada's requirements. Canadian / American markings are available. UL encourages manufacturers of those products that use both US-based and Canadian forensics labels to use this new combination, but manufacturers may choose to continue using UL-only for the United States or Canada.
Grading mark
This mark appears on UL-rated products. UL has already evaluated certain specialized attributes for products labeled with this symbol. Some of the specific attributes here are those that apply to a limited range of hazards or are used under limited or ad hoc conditions. Typically, products classified by UL are generic building materials and industrial equipment. For example, UL classified equipment types are wetsuits, fire doors, firefighter guards and industrial trucks.
C-UL classification mark
This rating mark applies to products marketed in Canada. It states that UL has evaluated the product for certain hazardous situations or characteristics in accordance with Canadian standards. For example, C-UL graded products include air filters, fire stops, some types of roofing systems, and the like.
Approved part marks and Canadian approved part marks
The average consumer seldom sees these marks because they are used on parts that are larger parts of the product or system. These parts can not by themselves constitute a complete product, or their use is limited. Parts approval marks are available on a number of products, including switches, power supplies, printed wiring boards, certain types of industrial control equipment, and thousands of other products. Accreditations labeled with "C" letters are intended for products intended for sale in the Canadian market.
Approved parts markings for Canada and the United States
This is a new UL Recognized Part Mark which entered into force on April 1, 1998. Certification steps
The applicant submits the company and product information
Written application: You should ask UL Company to test your company's products in writing.
Company Information: In both English and Chinese provide the following detailed and accurate name, address, contact person, zip code, telephone.
(a). Application company: a company that submits a product testing application and is responsible for all engineering services costs
(b). Listed Companies: Companies that list names in various product catalogs published by UL Companies
(c) Production Plant: Producer and producer of the product.
