Office chair is the most used furniture in the office so it is very important that it should pass all office chair testing requirements. It shall comply the heaviest loads, should be stable and comply the minimal ergonomics requirements. The test methods and requirements are based upon the use for 8 h a day by persons weighing up to 110 kg . The tests consist of the application, to various parts of the item, of forces simulating normal functional use, as well as misuse that might reasonably be expected to occur. The tests are designed to evaluate properties without regard to materials, design/construction or manufacturing processes.
Office chair testing and dimension requirements are assessed according to standards EN 1335-1, ISO 24496, EN 1335-2.
